South Carolina Pushing Bill That Would Tow Cars with No Proof of Insurance

South Carolina has proposed a bill that would tow the vehicles of drivers who don't have car insurance coveragebill that would tow the vehicles of drivers who don't have car insurance coverage. If an uninsured driver got pulled over by police for any reason, the bill would require police officers to impound the vehicle and the driver would have to pay a $350 fine plus any costs associated with towing and impounding his or her car.

Society has been obsessed with zombies for the past four decades, starting with George Romero's Night of the Living Dead film right up to the popularity of AMC's The Walking Dead TV show, Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead videogame series, and the Plants vs. Zombies phone app. Now one cheeky entrepreneur has taken the zombie craze one step further and is offering an insurancey policy for protection against a catastrophic undead apocalypse.

AAA Washington Earns 12 National Marketing Awards

The Service Industry Advertising Awards took place a couple weeks ago, and AAA Washington’s in house creative team cleaned up. This year marked the ninth time these awards have been handed out, and nearly 2,000 entries were submitted for consideration in 27 different categories. Among the 12 awards earned by AAA Washington, the company took home Best of Show for its “There’s Only One” radio campaign.

Should Universities Require Their Students to Have Health Insurance?

As the health debate continues on, universities have entered the mix with some controversial decisions of their own. Michigan State University is the latest school to begin requiring their students to have some form of health insurance coveragebegin requiring their students to have some form of health insurance coverage. If a student doesn't have a policy in place, the university will enroll him or her in an Aetna plan that would cost the student $1,500 for the school year.

Esurance, the official car insurance sponsor of SXSW 2012, is giving away two free Platinum badgesgiving away two free Platinum badges to the music, film, and interactive festival held in Austin, TX, March 9-18. The badges will grant the winners access to all three portions of the festival, and the lucky attendees will also receive a 10-day hotel stay and $1,000 in spending money.
